Monteverde Grupo Inmobiliario acquires another emblematic building in Barcelona (ES)

Monteverde Grupo Inmobiliario has acquired another emblematic building in Barcelona, the Tarragona Tower, located on 161 Tarragona Street. This operation required an investment of over €90 million. With this purchase, the group consolidates its presence in Barcelona, having acquired, last February, the well-known Banesto Building on Catalonia Square, on the corner of Paseo de Gracia.

The Monteverde Group will include this building in the corporations investment portfolio.

This office building was purchased from Credit Suisse Asset Management Immobilien KAG, with consultants Realcis, S.L. and Cushman & Wakefield advising seller and buyer, respectively.

The building known as Tarragona Tower was designed by arquitect Josep Maria Fargas and opened in 1998. It comprises a tower of 20 floors and an annex building, totaling just under 27,300 m², which are 100% leased. It is destined primarily to office and some ground floor shopping use.

Monteverde Grupo Inmobiliario is a privately held Spanish corporation which invests mostly in prime real estate and concentrates its businesses in both residential and office development and investment. To this end, the company either acquires and refurbishes singular excellent buildings or acts as developer of new space.
