The MIPIM conference programme, entitled "Property Talks 2006," has been significantly boosted this year and focuses on three major themes:
- Property: an asset class; Investment, investment vehicles, finance and opportunities.
- Property: a changing world; A place to live, economics, demographics and the built environment.
- Property: a regional focus; National markets in a global context.

The exchange of new ideas, best practices, latest trends and the discussion of the key challenges facing the property industry, is an integral part of MIPIM," says show Director Nadine Castagna. This year, we are positioning the conferences at the heart of MIPIM. Through special sessions, interactive workshops and keynote speeches, we aim to provide participants with a clear view of where the property market is heading in the coming years.

Zaha Hadid, the first female winner of the Pritzker architecture prize in 2004, is to give a keynote speech at MIPIM. The London-based architect and designer, has received international recognition for such projects as the Vitra Fire Station in Weil am Rhein (1993); Hoenheim Nord Tram terminus in Strasbourg (2001); the Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art in Cincinnati (2003); the BMW Central Building in Leipzig (2005) and the Phaeno Science Center in Wolfsburg (2005). Zaha Hadid will address MIPIM participants on March 14 on how she experiments with new spatial concepts and technological research, intensifying existing urban landscapes in the pursuit of a visionary aesthetic that encompasses all fields of design.

"My architecture takes the fluid dynamism of the sketching hand as a literal option for an architectural language. This new dialogue emphasises the complex and continuous nature of the design and the merging of disparate forms and textures. It is an architecture that translates the intellectual into the sensual and experiments with unexpected immersive environments, notes Zaha Hadid. "It is not a deliberate stand or pose, rather the inevitable result of a passion for discovery and creation."

On March 14, Paul A. Laudicina, Vice President and Managing Director of the Global Business Policy Council at A.T. Kearney, a strategy service for CEOs, will present a keynote address on Succeeding in a World of Uncertainty. In over 20 years career, Mr. Laudicina has advised leaders of major corporations and governments on strategic questions related to corporate / public policy. In 2005, the editors of Consulting Magazine ranked Mr. Laudicina among the Top 25 Most Influential Consultants.
