Miller Developments receives planning permission for premier outlet center in Denmark (UK/DK)

Miller Developments, in joint venture with its local partner TK Development, has obtained full planning permission for its Premier Outlet Center in Ringsted, Denmark. The Premier Outlet Center will be built on a 19-acre (7.5-ha) site, located approximately 45 minutes from Copenhagen, and will provide 11,650 sq m (125,000 sq ft) of prime factory outlet retail space.

This is the second factory outlet scheme under the Premier Outlet Center (POC) banner and follows the hugely successful POC scheme in Budapest, Hungary which has fully let its first phase and is now on site developing the second phase with a third and final phase in the pipeline.

David Carver, associate director at Miller Developments, comments: Now that planning permission for the development at Ringsted has been received, we can start work on site immediately. Pre-letting is already well underway with almost 50% of the units either pre let or under offer. This demonstrates the quality of the Premier Outlet Center brand and the quality of the partnership between Miller and local JV partners like TK Development.

Robert Andersen, executive vice president at TK Development, comments: We have worked with this project for a number of years, with Miller Developments adding resource and know-how since entering the joint-venture partnership a year ago. We strongly believe this to be the one and only outlet center in Denmark.

Completion is expected in spring 2007.
