Michel Riaskoff (Foruminvest) receives Man of the Year Award 2007 at MIPIM

On Wednesday 14 March Michel S. Riaskoff, CEO and Chairman of Foruminvest BV, was presented the Holland Real Estate Man of the Year Award 2007 at the MIPIM in Cannes. Michel Riaskoff has been elected Man of the Year 2007 by a convincing majority of Holland Real Estate's Advisory Board in conjunction with Dutch real estate experts.

Under Riaskoff 's leadership, Foruminvest has become one of the few large privately-owned independent developers in Europe that specializes in shopping centers and city center development. Foruminvest's portfolio has a volume of some €3 billion and it has developed a long list of leading Dutch and foreign projects. Those that win major awards – time and time again.

Michel Riaskoff founded Foruminvest 20 years ago, after having worked for a bank and the Dutch retailing group Blokker, where he picked up his passion for retail and consumers.

Now Foruminvest is the largest privately owned European shopping center developer. Unlike other fast growing Dutch developers, who have sold part or the whole of their company, Riaskoff has managed to keep 100 % ownership, jointly with his younger business partner, David Ermia. Riaskoff is convinced that 'consumer psychology' or the art to read, attract, seduce and please consumers is the key to successful shopping and city centers. THE WINNING CITY is Foruminvest's slogan.
