MEAG leases out office building in Amsterdam (NL)

MEAG has leased the entire thirteen-storey office building De Entree 222 in Amsterdam to D.A.S. Nederlandse Rechtsbijstand Verzekeringmaatschappij N.V., a joint venture of D.A.S. and Dutch composite insurers.

The building was completed in 2001, is close to the center of Amsterdam in the Zuidoost district, and offers more than 15,000 m² of floor space. The new tenant plans to move into the offices in early 2014, after a building modernisation.

Van Dijk & ten Cate Vastgoedadviseurs B.V. was advisor to the owners for the leasing negotiations, and Van Gool Elburg advised the lessee. D.A.S. is Europe's No. 1 in legal expenses insurance. Founded in 1928, the company operates today in almost 20 countries in Europe and beyond. The brand D.A.S. stands for the successful introduction of legal protection insurance in various markets.

In 2011, D.A.S. recorded a premium income of €1 billion in Germany and abroad. D.A.S. is the specialist insurer for legal protection within the ERGO Insurance Group and thus part of Munich Re, one of the world's leading reinsurers and risk carriers.
