After a successfull career of fourteen years within the ING Group, of which nearly ten years as ING Real Estate’s CEO, Jan Doets will retire per 1 January 2005. Mr George J. Jautze, currently General Manager ING Real Estate Investment Management will be his successor.
In the years that Jan Doets has been CEO of ING Group´s real estate company, he has turned a relatively small and Dutch oriented company into a large international company which ranks among the top three in the world.
With his enthusiasm and vision he has coached the organisation towards growth. He was the initiator of numerous successfull and innovative projects. During his tenure, ING Real Estate Investment Management has become a third party investment company which now has 30 real estate funds worldwide. The wholesale activities of Westland/Utrecht Hypothekenbank (WU) and ING Bank with the ING Real Estate finance activities have been successfully integrated into ING Real Estate Finance, and ING Real Estate Development has become a considerable international real estate developer.
Jan Doets says he is confident that his successor George Jautze will successfully lead ING Real Estate into and through the next phase of its further internationalisation. 'With his experience and vision he will make sure that the company will retain its position in the top of global real estate companies.'
