The land plot for the project is located in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. The future SEC will be situated in Lukianivka, the central historical and business district of the city, between three main streets Melnikova, Artema, and Deghtyarivska. The location benefits from perfect transport connection with almost all city districts. The area near the SEC has a well-developed public transport system which includes buses, trolleybuses, trams, and mini-buses. The SEC is also situated within 100-meter walking distance from the metro station Lukianivska, which is the third most visited station in Kiev with 43,800 people per day. The specially constructed bridge will directly connect the building of the SEC and the metro station.
A large number of medium- and premium-level residential buildings, business centers, government organizations, and six largest universities of Ukraine are in 10-min distance from Lukianivka. Due to these factors, the catchment area of the project is approximately of 341,850 people. About 1,000,000 people are living in close distance from Lukianivka, which they can access within 20 min. The target audience of the SEC includes middle-income and above-average income consumers.
Lukianivka is the regional Shopping & Entertainment Center in the heart of Kiev. The architecture of the SEC will match the modern and dynamic style of the city, at the same time preserving its historical heritage and beauty. Two architectural monuments, built in the early 20th century, will be reconstructed by Arricano and integrated in the SEC as a part of shopping gallery for premium brands. The main building will host mass-market fashion brands, a large supermarket and a convenient 2-level underground parking for 1,195 cars. Lukianivka will have a special zone dedicated to entertainment, cafés, and restaurants.
Construction has started in October 2013; it is in progress according to schedule.
