The Municipality of Bucharest has awarded the Project Management contract to the consortium Louis Berger SAS, Louis Berger Group and Berger Devine Yaeger for the rehabilitation and modernization works of the National Stadium of Romania, Lia Manoliu. The consultancy service project which is worth more than €1.6 milliion has a duration of 32 months.
The Berger Group through Berger Devine Yaeger has been involved in similar stadium works including the Olympic Arena Sydney, Australia, London's Wembley Stadium, UK, H.H.H. Metrodome Stadium Minneapolis, US and the National Stadium Dublin, Ireland.
According to Chris Germanacos, Senior VP and Director for Europe, Louis Berger is currently under negotiations with a number of nationalities including French, British, Spanish, Israeli and Greek investors for the project management on a number of residential developments throughout Romania as well as Bulgaria.
Other Clients in the region include central and local government and large private sector investors for all kind of structures and developments and several "Fortune 500" companies.
