LHG acquires five hotels from 12.18. Group

The Lindner Hotel Group (LHG) has taken over the operation of five hotels previously managed by the 12.18. Group (12.18.). As a result, LHG's portfolio will now grow from two to four brands. Meanwhile, 12.18. will be focusing on its real estate activities.

This takeover strengthens LHG's position in the hotel real estate market, allowing them to expand their brand portfolio and become active in three new countries: Italy, the UK, and the USA.

With the addition of these five hotels, LHG's turnover is expected to increase by c. €90m, and over 1,000 new rooms will be added to their portfolio.

Following this takeover, 12.18. will be focusing on acquiring, developing, and repositioning hotel real estate while also providing asset management services to its capital partners.

Currently, LHG operates hotels and resorts under the two brands of Lindner Hotels & Resorts and me and all hotels. After an exclusive collaboration agreement with Hyatt was announced in 2022, these two brands have become part of the JdV by Hyatt brand, which is a collection of independent hotels that reflect their unique personality and location.

LHG's acquisition of the 12.18. hotels adds exceptional hotels and resorts to their leisure segment and also introduces two new brands: 7Pines Hotels & Resorts and L-Collection.

Arno Schwalie, CEO of the Lindner Hotel Group, said: "The integration marks the next chapter in our strategic direction. We are growing with a clearly differentiated multi-brand strategy and are strengthening our position in the European leisure market."

Adrian Lindner, managing director of 12.18. Asset Management said: "Going forward, we will no longer operate hotels ourselves. However, at LHG, we have a strong partner with whom we will work closely on the operation of hotels. 12.18. can continue to offer our capital partners a comprehensive portfolio of services ranging from acquisition and conception, financing, development and repositioning to the operation and sale of hotel real estate. As we did in the past, we will continue to decide on each property's operating concept individually to find the best fit and also work with external operators and brands, next to our partnership with LHG."
