Leasing surge at MOOD Stockholm (SE)

AMF Fastigheter has successfully leased two-thirds of its unique three-zone retail concept MOOD Stockholm, due to open in March 2012, and announced the introduction of several international fashion brands to the Swedish market including Armani Jeans, Napapijri and Scotch & Soda.

In addition, leading Scandinavian retailer Best of Brands will open a double-anchor store at the center with one unit at each end of the scheme – offering key designer fashion brands like Polo Ralph Lauren, Gant, Tommy Hilfiger, Hackett, Max Mara, Acne, Diesel and many more.

Best of Brands' new city premises will stretch over 1,842 m² and expand the retailers existing portfolio of two well-established stores outside of Stockholm in Sickla and Vällingby. One of the two Best of Brands stores at MOOD Stockholm will be a two-floor-concept dedicated to women's wear opposite the NK department store while the second two-level unit will focus on men's fashion.

"We are extremely thrilled about the huge retailer interest in MOOD Stockholm and are very excited that we have secured Best of Brands as anchor tenant with not just one but two outstanding store concepts. They will offer a great choice of quality fashion to our customers and work well within our three-zone center concept," said Karolin Forsling Head of Retail at AMF Fastigheter and the visionary behind MOOD Stockholm.

"The fact that retailers like Armani Jeans, Napapijri and Scotch & Soda, which were previously not present in the Swedish market chose to enter the country with us brings an extra edge and credibility to MOOD Stockholm which will make us stand out even further. We will be able to reveal more exciting names later this autumn," Karolin adds.

MOOD Stockholm offers a unique three-zone concept with an 'Everyday' area for on-trend, affordable retail brands, 'Wishing' for edgy, contemporary brands and 'Desire' for carefully selected high-end brands. Food is a key inspiration for the retail and shopping experience at MOOD Stockholm, with Sweden's three top chefs Kristofer Sandström, Michelin star decorated Henrik Norström and Melker Andersson all opening exciting new restaurant concepts in the center.

To be able to offer space to new and exciting retail concepts and stay true to the center's zoning, AMF Fastigheter is keeping 10% of retail space available until the beginning of next year.

AMF Fastigheter develops, owns and manages commercial and retail properties exclusively on behalf of AMF Pension, one of Sweden's leading pension funds, with €41billion (SEK 377 billion) under management, including assets such as the successful Gallerian shopping center on Hamngatan, Stockholm.
