LaSalle Investment Management and PRUPIM have announced that they won the Overseas Property Investment Provider Award at the recent Pensions and Investor Provider Awards (PIPA) for their Asia Property Fund joint venture.
The US$2 billion Asia Property Fund has returned double-digit annual growth since the Fund's launch on 19 December 2006. The investment objective of the Fund is to seek current income and long term capital appreciation through investments in stable real estate and real estate related assets across Asia Pacific.
Marc Montanus, manager of the Asia Property Fund, comments: "We are delighted to receive the award for best overseas property investment provider. We believe it is our innovative approach that set us apart from the competition. Asia Property Fund is the first and only open-end fund investing in direct real estate in a diversified portfolio of stable, income producing real estate assets across Asia Pacific."
Trevor Hankin, CIO of PRUPIM Singapore, comments: "To receive such strong endorsement from the investment and pension consultant industry is an honour and we are very pleased the Fund has been recognised for its innovation."
The Fund was launched in December 2006 and offers investors the opportunity to benefit from a joint venture between two of the industry's most experienced property investment managers, PRUPIM and LaSalle, which manage a combined US$87 billion of real estate assets globally.
