Echo Investment has obtained the building permit for KORONA a shopping and entertainment center which will be erected in Brasov, Romania.

The 153,000-m² KORONA shopping and entertainment center in Brasov.
KORONA is a modern, multi-functional shopping-entertainment center of the total area of 153,000 m². At the center's four floors, on the total area of approximately 53,000 m² GLA, about 240 stores will open accompanied by an extensive recreational-entertainment program: multiplex cinema, bowling alley, casino, fitness club. This offer will be supplemented by bars, restaurants, ice cream parlors and cafés. Clients will have approximately 2,000 parking places at their disposal.
Currently bulldozing, organizational and preparatory works are being conducted and commencement of construction works is planned for the beginning of 2009, and completion of construction - for the second half of 2010.
Concept design
The concept design of KORONA shopping-entertainment center has been elaborated by IMB Asymetria architectural office from Poland together with local Romanian architects Dico si Tiganas.
According to assumptions, the architecture of the building reflects the commercial-entertaining nature of the center. The building shall be supplementary to the existing Brasov urban arrangement, and also an important commercial center of regional significance.
The commercialization of the project will be carried out by Echo's specialists in close co-operation with Romanian branch of international agency Jones Lang LaSalle.
