Knight Frank has appointed Tony Nicholas, an equity partner of the firm, as Head of the Global Corporate Services (GCS) EMEA team in London, and Alex Hill as Head of GCS Asia Pacific based in Singapore as it continues to strengthen its Global Corporate Services offering.
Knight Franks' GCS teams are aligned with their US partner Newmark Grubb Knight Franks' GCS business to offer a global platform operating under the brand Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Global Corporate Services.
Tony Nicholas has worked at Knight Frank for 25 years and was previously Head of the Knight Frank Bristol office which he joined 10 years after setting up the Cardiff office in 1997. He has great experience operating as both a broker and consultant for numerous occupiers, as well as being involved in a number of high profile developments throughout the country, giving him an excellent understanding of how corporates operate. Nicholas now joins Andy Bugg, a partner in the GCS team in London, and moving forward will focus primarily on the UK and European markets, as well as Africa and the Middle East.
Tony Nicholas commented: "It has been a great experience setting up two new businesses for Knight Frank in the regions but the opportunity and challenge of returning to London and working alongside some excellent people within our GCS team, and really growing the business for Knight Frank, is a fantastic opportunity I am very excited about.
"Developing strong relationships with corporate occupiers across national and international borders, and assisting them in their real estate requirements across the world, is becoming more and more important. Knight Frank, with its extensive global platform and well known reputation for a personalized service, is well placed to take advantage of this."
Alex Hill has been appointed as the Head of Global Corporate Services Asia Pacific for Knight Frank and will be in Singapore where he has been based for the last 13 years. Prior to joining Knight Frank, Hill was a Regional Director of Global Corporate Services at CBRE in Singapore where he was responsible for managing the provision of outsourced services to major accounts. Hill will manage the region's corporate services to further grow and strengthen our business and client relationships.
Hill has over 20 years' experience in corporate real estate services. He has extensive strategic planning skills, transaction management experience and account leadership. He has worked with clients across the APAC region, including many Fortune 500 firms.
Both Nicholas and Hill are members of our Global Corporate Services board.
Alistair Elliott, Head of Knight Frank commercial division, stated: "These two appointments reflect our determination to raise the profile of our established global platform. There is much to go for in the occupier arena and with Alex and Tony joining Global Corporate Services, I am certain we will make great strides, and I expect the synergies with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank to prosper. Our occupier client base is strong; it is now going to get a great deal stronger."
Michael Ippolito, Chairman and Head of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank Global Corporate Services, who Nicholas and Hill will be working closely with, stated; "Our model has been designed to provide strategy globally while providing execution consistently in all local markets around the world. As a result, our regional leaders need to have a broad range of corporate experience and an ability to actively manage a diverse organization of professionals. Tony and Alex are both ideally suited for this position and I am looking forward to working with them."
