King Sturge opens office in Sofia (BG)

King Sturge, one of Europe's leading international property consultants, announces it has opened a representative office in Sofia, the capital city of Bulgaria.

This wholly-owned King Sturge office will, in the first instance, concentrate on supporting a number of retained projects - building on work already carried out in Bulgaria from the firm's offices in Romania and Hungary. These include the marketing of retail and industrial schemes on behalf of Densi, ZBS and Bulgarian Property Developments respectively, and advisory work to clients such as Plaza Centers.

The team is led by Andrew Peirson MRICS who joins from King Sturge in Prague where, for the last three and a half years, he headed the Agency group of the firm's operations in the Czech Republic, focusing on office developments. Before that he spent four years with King Sturge in the United Kingdom.

Peirson said: "It's very exciting to be launching King Sturge in Bulgaria. I am looking forward to building and developing our team, taking care of the instructions our clients have given us and growing the business. We are doing this without any local associations and will be combining a blend of both local and international expertise in order to provide clients with the best service possible."

Richard Fiddes, Managing Partner Continental Europe, said of the opening in Sofia: "There are a lot of opportunities in Bulgaria and thanks to our track record and profile in the region, King Sturge is very well placed to advise and support clients who have entered or are looking to enter the market."

King Sturge's Sofia office will be offering Agency work in all real estate sectors, Valuation, Investment, Property Management, Facilities Management and Consultancy services. In addition the Bulgaria office will work very closely with existing King Sturge teams in Romania, Croatia, Hungary, Turkey and Serbia.
