Karl-Heinz Seibert appointed to the managing board of Siemens Real Estate

There’s a new face on the managing board of Siemens Real Estate (SRE), with Karl Heinz Seibert set to join existing members Prof. Peter Niehaus (Chair) and Dr. Jochen Scharpe from 1 September 2003. His appointment is part of SRE’s preparations for further changes to the board, with Peter Niehaus due to retire on 31 December 2003 before reaching the age of 63 in May 2004.

Karl-Heinz Seibert has been working at Siemens Information and Communication Mobile (ICM) as Head of Strategic Marketing. In this function, he was responsible for the Group’s international marketing, in particular Mergers & Acquisitions, and for international project management. This know-how will stand Seibert in good stead at SRE, where one of his key areas will be international activities, which SRE wants to continue to expand. Management responsibilities will be reorganized accordingly when Peter Niehaus retires on 31 December 2003.

Karl-Heinz Seibert was born in Heidelberg in 1959. After completing his studies in business management, he began his career in 1986 at Siemens AG, subsequently moving to Siemens Nixdorf Informationssysteme AG. In 1998, Seibert became Head of the Strategy & Business Alliances Department at Siemens Information and Communication Products, and in April 2000 he took over as Head of Strategic Marketing at ICM.
