KanAm Grund acquires prime mixed-use complex in Edinburgh (GB)

KanAm Grund Group, acting on behalf of a German pension fund die Arzteversorgung Westfalen-Lippe (AVWL), has acquired a modern mixed-use asset in Edinburgh, Scotland. The 17,000m² property is located in St Andrew Square and comprises office space, restaurants and a retail outlet. Only 200 meters from Waverley train station, with direct tram connections to the airport, the scheme benefits from the close proximity of James´ shopping centre, which is due to open next year, offering shops, restaurants, a luxury hotel and apartments on 160,000m².

 

Completed in 2016, the building holds BREEAM certificate and is currently fully leased, serving as the Scottish headquarters for Standard Life AberdeenOther tenants include retail chain TK Maxx, the restaurant “Vapiano”, a cocktail bar and the restaurant "The Refinery", "The Ivy" restaurant, Asian noodle kitchen "wagamama" and Argentinian steak house “Gaucho”It has been agreed to keep the sales price confidential.
