Jones Lang LaSalle named as Exclusive European Partner on CoreNet Globals EDP Programme (UK)

CoreNet Global has announced that Jones Lang LaSalle are the Exclusive European Partner on the first pan-European Executive Development Programme (EDP), which takes place for the very first time in Europe in Spring 2006.

Christine MacKenzie, Director Global Operations, CoreNet Global comments, We are pleased to welcome Jones Lang LaSalle on board for the roll out of the EDP programme in Europe. EDP represents a significant international opportunity for our members to benefit from a qualification-focused programme lead by high profile industry leaders. Given JLLs award winning reputation for global research and insight, we feel that they are an ideal partner to help support the programme going forward in Europe.

Robert Bonwell, CEO of European Corporate Solutions states, To further support our continuous improvement in our advice to clients we are always seeking the right training for our teams. The interactive solutions orientated approach of the EDP is exactly what we believe is required to enhance the industrys skills.

CoreNet Global is rolling out the high-level programme during 2006 with the first two day event taking place in London on 1-2 March. Leading industry experts will be conducting the course, where CRE professionals will be able to participate in a programme of interactive seminars exploring key areas of interest.

The first session will take the theme "Aligning Real Estate and Business Strategy" and will explore areas such as developing new real estate and workplace strategies; learning the latest European case-studies to better understand how the real estate portfolio can match and serve the corporation's business model; and set out the information professionals need about business units and the use of analytical tools.

Speakers will include Stephen Binder, Managing Director, Cushman and Wakefield Client Solutions; Larry Matarazzi, Director, Workplace Resources EMEA, Sun Microsystems; Irene Masterton, Head of Real Estates Services Group Real Estate, Standard Chartered Bank.

Irene Masterton, Standard Chartered Bank, will discuss how a global business, with 12.5 m sq ft of space across 56 countries, drives its strategy for property as a core operating asset for the Bank. Meanwhile Larry Matarazzi Sun Microsystems, will examine how traditional boundaries between workspace, processes and technology have been replaced by an integrated strategy, known within Sun as i-Work.

The EDP session is aimed at corporate real estate executives whose goals are to expand their leadership ability to create value; managers who must respond more strategically to support the business units and senior management; and any business professional who must effectively communicate and implement strategic plans.

The series comprises three distinct modules: the Technical Series, which is a foundation-building certificate program focused on the real estate lifecycle; the Master of Corporate Real Estate Professional Development Series, which is focused on the strategic management of corporate real estate; and the Senior Leader of Corporate Real Estate Series, which is a certificate programme focused on the development of essential leadership skills needed to drive strategies that create value.

The EDP programme is already successfully established in the United States of America, Australia and Asia, and the introduction of the programme in Europe is an example of how CoreNet Global is creating more significant regional and global opportunities for European members following the complete integration of the European chapter network.

Additional EDP sessions in Europe are planned to take place during 2006, with Amsterdam in June and a second London session in November. The first EDP session takes place in London on 1-2 March 2006 and is already proven very popular with a high number of Corporate Real Estate Executives registered.
