Johan Schipper leaves NSI (NL)

J.Th. Schipper (42) has announced his resignation as member of the Management Board of Nieuwe Steen Investments N.V. (NSI). As a director of NSI Johan Schipper was responsible in particular for the acquisition and sales policy of the company in the Netherlands. Now that portfolio growth will be increasingly focussed on the international market, Schipper believes, in consultation with the company, that the time has come to give his career a new turn. A suitable solution for his succession will be found as soon as possible. Until that time Ms Anka Reijnen will take charge of acquisition and sales.

Johan Schipper gives the following explanation for his sudden departure: "I have enjoyed working for NSI for nearly ten years now, of which four years as one of the directors, focussing on the acquisition and sales policy in the Netherlands. That is the field in which I have the most knowledge and experience. Now that NSI is increasing its focus on expansion abroad, I think the time has come for me to find a new challenge."

Anka Reijnen, chairman of the Board of NSI, comments on Johan Schipper's departure as follows: "Johan made an important contribution to NSI's successful acquisition and sales policy over the past years. Now that the nature of the company and the investment policy will change as a result of the increased international focus, he believes the time has come for a career move. On behalf of the company I should like to thank Johan for his contribution to the growth of Nieuwe Steen Investments and ten years of excellent cooperation."
