Joe Houlihan elected Chairman of the EPF Managing Committee (EU)

At its AGM in Budapest, the Managing Committee of the European Property Federation elected W. Joseph Houlihan, CEO of Cohen & Steers Europe, as its Chairman. Daniel Loureda, CEO of Testa Inmuebles en Renta and Member of the Board of ASIPA, the Association of Spanish Rental Property Companies, was re-elected Vice-Chairman.

Joe Houlihan said "In the few years I've been on the EPF Managing Committee, I've seen regulatory power over real estate shift significantly from the national level to the EU. Meanwhile, under my predecessor, Liz Peace, Chief Executive of the British Property Federation, the EPF has doubled its membership and increased the span and quality of its alliances.

"My top priority is to further EPF's internal growth and alliances because the real estate industry needs unity in the face of EU power. Giving EU real estate a voice on the global stage will be another important concern."

Liz Peace said "Having been fortunate to lead the Managing Committee for an incredible eight years, during which we have achieved so much, I am delighted to be able to hand over to Joe such an energetic and effective operation. I look forward to working with him on the many new challenges which are already facing our industry in Europe."
