JM has started construction of Kv. Eden, the first block in Hornsbergs Strand, northwest corner Kungsholmen. JM's business unit manager Zdravko Markovski together with Leif Rönngren, Real Estate and Road Commissioner (s) defied rain and wind as they jointly celebrate the construction start of Stockholm's new inner city neighborhood.
The block contains amongst other things 121 housing units, featuring 1 to 5 rooms plus kitchen in 38 to 111 m², a two-story parking house with 88 spaces for cars and a few for motorcycles and scooters, and a preschool with four units.
The block, which is adjacent to a park and just a stroll away from the lake Ulvsundasjön, will have modern architecture adapted to the patterns of the concrete city. The light and spacious apartments will feature bay windows and unusual shapes.
"It feels great to finally get started building the first block in Stockholm's new residential area Hornsbergs Strand. The quiet neighborhood combined with the culture and entertainment of the big city just around the corner make this location unbeatable," says Zdravko Markovski, business unit manager JM.
Hornsbergs Strand will contain a total of about 1,200 new residential units, of which JM will be responsible for 440 distributed among three blocks. In 2007 JM will start the second block Poeten, and in 2008 the third, Gåspennan.
Sales of the new residential units are underway and the first residents are expected to move in 2008.
