The refurbishment took 11 months to complete and cost around €30 million.

Anchor tenants of the completely leased out shopping center include Saturn, Rewe, C&A, Hugendubel, New Yorker, H&M, and Zara. In the newly designed 'West' section, around 30 shops are settled on a sales area of around 5,500 m². Due to the extension, the number of jobs in the center rises to more than 1,500. Approximately 1,600 parking spaces are available.

Shop section refurbished for 11 months
Since November 2010, the West section has been comprehensively refurbished and modernized by the Ten Brinke group. The entrance portal as well as the facade towards Frankfurter Strasse have been redesigned. The investment volume amounted to around €30 million.

"The new shop section is a real eye-catcher: a great entrée for our city, the cherry on the cake in the newly designed southern Frankfurter Strasse and a successful upgrading of the cityscape," says Herbert Hunkel, Mayor of Neu-Isenburg.

The future owner is Deka Immobilien, which has acquired the shop section for its open public real estate fund Deka-ImmobilienEuropa. The Central and East shop sections have been owned by Deka Immobilien since 1989.

"We are pleased that also the stakeholders of the Deka-ImmobilienEuropa funds now have the opportunity to shop in their own, newly designed center. The Isenburg-Zentrum will benefit of the fact to be managed by one single source," says Torsten Knapmeyer, Managing Director of Deka Immobilien.

Management of the West section will be realized by Hamburg-based ECE, which has been operating the other two sections since 1989.

With the reopening, the family center is strengthening its position in the Frankfurter Strasse. ECE composed a balanced mixture of stores and branches for the shop area. Zara, Comma, Tamaris, Hunkemöller, Hallhuber, Promod, Jack & Jones, D-Step, Aluminium Jeans, George Hogg, House of Silver, Rieker, Jack Wolfskin, United Trend Shoes, Grand Café Eifler, Dulce, Rituals, Build-a-Bear, Rossmann, Tom Tailor, Immergrün, Wayos, and 24 Passion are new in the Isenburg-Zentrum.

ECE CEO Alexander Otto: "I am delighted that the Isenburg-Zentrum can now be operated by us as a whole and thank Deka Immobilien for its long-term trust in ECE. Finally, the decline of the shop section 'West', which we witnessed over the years, could be stopped – the redesign is a benefit for the complete region."

Further restructuring until 2012
In addition to the newly designed shop spaces, another 12,000 m² of sales area in the East and Central sections will be restructured and adjusted to customers' needs by 2012.
