ING Real Estate UK wins competition Bo'ness (UK)

ING Real Estate Development UK has won the competition for a project of €225 million (₤150 million). ING Real Estate will develop the harbor area of the Scottish town Bo’ness. The city is situated on the Firth of Forth, an inlet in the North Sea just 20 km west of the Scottish capital Edinburgh.

ING RE Development UK was chosen in a competition in which five international developers participated. The redevelopment by ING RE should revive the harbor area of Bo’ness. At the recently reopened harbor a new marina will arise with 700 apartments along the water, several tens of houses, a hotel with 100 beds and a walking promenade with retail en restaurants. The whole project will take at least 8 years to complete since the harbor area is seriously polluted.
