ING Real Estate UK can continue development in Hull (UK)

The city council of the British municipality Hull has given its consent to the master plan of the redevelopment of the city center. It concerns a project by ING Real Estate UK with 40,000 m² of shopping space, 20,000 m² of leisure and facilities and 220 houses.

For the shopping party an agreement has already been reached with the supermarket chain Tesco for 10,000 m². The total development means a minimal investment of over € 200 mln. and also includes building a new traffic junction including a bus station for 36 busses.

Now that the city council of Hull has given its consent for the St. Stephen’s project, work can start this year. The architects of this project are: Foster & Partners (for the master plan), HMA (project architect) and Wilkinson Eyre (for the traffic junction). St. Stephen’s should be delivered in 2007.
