ING Real Estate Investment Management opens office in Tokyo (NL/JAP)

ING Real Estate Asia is pleased to announce the appointment of Hidetoshi Ono as Managing Director and Country Manager of ING Real Estate Investment Management Japan with effect from 23 May 2006. His appointment also marks the opening of ING Real Estate Investment Managements office in Tokyo and the companys expansion into that market.

Mr. Ono joins ING Real Estate after nine years in senior positions with the GE group of companies in Japan. He started working for GE in 1997, setting up the office and operations of GE Capital Real Estate. After about three years, he moved to the GE Edison Life Company as Executive Operating Officer and subsequently became Representative Director Acting CEO of Saison Life.

His most recent appointment at GE was as Managing Director, Corporate Marketing of GE International Inc., a position he held from 2003. He started his career in 1987 in Mitsui Fudosan, Japans top real estate company, where he spent a total of ten years. Hidetoshi Ono is a social studies graduate of the Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo and holds a MBA from the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University in the US.
