ING Real Estate buys Cap Campus Papendorp

ING Real Estate Investment Management has bought the new office development Cap Campus on Papendorp-Zuid in Utrecht. The new head office of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young is based in Cap Campus. The whole complex of 42,000 m² has been added to the ING Dutch Office Fund.

Cap Campus has been developed by AM Development, based on a masterplan by T + T Design. Cap Campus comprises 4 newly built office buildings and a conference center, designed by De Architecten Cie (Frits van Dongen) and Ed Veenendaal (Veenendaal and Bocanet). The complex has a total size of 42,000 m². This is divided over the Main Building (13,000 m²), North Building (6,100 m²), Middle Building (5,800 m²), South Building (6,200 m²), Conference Center (7,900 m²) and an underground ‘spin’ (3,200 m²). In total there is an availability of 1,088 parking spaces, almost all underground. Cap Gemini Ernst & Young will be renting Cap Campus for a term of 10 years. This term is valid for the Main Building and the North, Middle and South Buildings. For the Conference Center and the ‘spin’ a term of 15 years applies. The ING Dutch Office Fund is a closed-end, unlisted fund for institutional investors. The fund at the moment has a value of € 1.7 bln.
