ING Real Estate has acquired the mixed-use property URBIS in Ghent, Belgium from Groep Maes and Strukton Groep. The purchase price was approximately €53 mln. URBIS will be added to the portfolio of the ING Retail Property Fund France Belgium.
URBIS offers a combination of retail space (11,150m²), office space (13,990m²), 18 apartments and an underground parking for 251 cars. The Centre is situated just in front of the Woodrow Wilson Square at the entrance of Ghent, next to the main access roads coming from the E17 (linking Antwerp and Lille). It constitutes the main gate to the city center.
