ING and Amstelland to work together in centerplan Helmond

Dutch developers ING Real Estate and AM will invest € 270 mln in the citycenter of Helmond over the coming years. Next month the developers and the Municipality of Helmond will sign the agreement. Within a year a masterplan should be made with a further development of the plans. The municipality is still looking for a town planner to lead the project.

The total centerplan will take approx. 15 years to be developed and built. The masterplan will be made up according to the program Integral Structurevision Helmond city center, which was presented July 2002. This vision contains the following parts: retail (10,000 m²), art and culture (12,000 m²), offices (10,000 m²), housing (1700 houses), themecenter (17,000 m²), hotel, conferencefacilities (6,000 m²), bars and restaurants (1,000 m²) and parking (2,000 parking places).
