IMMOFINANZ Group expands STOP.SHOP. portfolio (AT/CZ/SK)

Steady expansion is the keyword for the STOP.SHOP. retail park concept, which has grown in both importance and size in recent years. STOP.SHOP. is the IMMOFINANZ umbrella brand for specialty shopping centers in Central and Eastern Europe. These regional malls are developed at central locations in catchment areas with a population of 30,000 – 150,000.

The main features of this brand are a standardized concept with 5,000 to 15,000 m² of rentable space and ample parking, good integration in the traffic network and high functionality through an attractive mix of international and local tenants. A coordinated visual appearance throughout the entire facility forms the basis for the cross-border development of the STOP.SHOP. concept and ensures high consumer recognition.

The opening of the STOP.SHOP. in Znaim (Znojmo) on November 4, marked the completion of the ninth retail park in the Czech Republic. The catchment area of this 5,000 m² facility has a population of more than 50,000 within roughly 10 minutes driving time. Znaim is located 190 km southeast of Prague, 64 km southwest of Brünn and 12 km from the Austrian-Czech border. This STOP.SHOP. retail park is fully occupied and includes brands such as Wiky, New Yorker, KiK, DM, Takko, Deichmann, Elektro Expert and Sportisimo.

STOP.SHOP. in Slovakia
Two retail parks in Slovakia will also open on schedule in mid-November, bringing the portfolio in this country to a total of nine STOP.SHOPs. The STOP.SHOP. Dubnica nad Váhom is located in the north-western region of the Slovakian Republic. The catchment area of this center has a population of over 40,000 within roughly 10 minutes driving time. This STOP.SHOP. is fully let, with the exception of a small area, to international tenants like PLANEO Elektro, KiK, DM, Takko and Deichmann.

The second, substantially larger STOP.SHOP. retail park – the Liptovsky Mikulás – is located in central Slovakia. With more than 12,800 m² of rentable space on two levels, it can be reached by over 75,000 residents within approx. 15 minutes traveling time. The tenant mix includes well-known retailers like TERNO supermarket, C&A, NEW YORKER, TAKKO, DEICHMANN, DM, KiK, GATE, John Garfield and many more.

These latest projects by the IMMOFINANZ Group have increased the STOP.SHOP. portfolio in Eastern Europe to include 33 locations in five countries.

"The opening of these three retail parks not only expands our STOP.SHOP. portfolio, but also confirms our leading market position in this segment. The key to this success is the high functionality of the STOP.SHOPs., combined with central locations and good integration in the traffic network," commented Eduard Zehetner, CEO of the IMMOFINANZ Group, on these new developments.
