IDI Gazeley announces project to develop 5,193 m² built-to-suit parcel hub for TNT (UK)

IDI Gazeley (Brookfield Logistics Properties), a leading global investor and developer of logistics warehouses and distribution parks, has announced details of a project to develop a 55,898 ft² (5,193 m²) build-to-suit, state of the art parcel hub for international business-to-business express delivery and logistics services company TNT at G.Park Swindon in the UK.
Construction of the new facility began at the start of January and is expected to take 24 weeks with the facility scheduled to become fully operational by Q3 2015. The development will serve as a specialist regional parcel distribution hub for TNT’s expanding delivery business serving deliveries throughout Swindon and the South West. The building will feature 47,717 ft² (4,433 m²) of distribution space with the capacity to accommodate 62 delivery vehicles. It will also benefit from 104 car parking spaces, 6,154 ft² (572 m²) of office space, security gatehouse, 50 metre truck court depth, 101 loading doors and 32 meter building depth. When fully operational the facility is expected to create over 100 jobs from the local community.

This experience makes is ideally placed to continue to support the fast-expanding logistics warehouse requirements of all our retailer customers and other companies with large storage requirements”.
