ICSC research seminar focuses on merchandising mix (EUR)

As the economic outlook continues to challenge the real estate sector, the 2008 International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) European Research Seminar, taking place on 6 and 7 November at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Rome, Italy will focus on the outlook for retailing in the current economic climate.

The seminar will also look at key trends in European retailer activity and retail property development and investment outlook. European retail from the stock market perspective, including investor's perception and long-term stock market scenarios will also be discussed.

Chaired by Jasper Klapwijk, General Manager Development Strategy & Marketing, ING Real Estate, Netherlands, the annual ICSC European Research Seminar brings together leading retail research experts to discuss the most important issues facing the shopping center industry, including how to create future growth strategies based on emerging trends. The theme of the seminar is 'the merchandising mix' and speakers will draw on the strategies of leading retailers, including the lessons learned from developers of new centers and refurbishments and the inclusion of leisure.
