ICSC plans busy 2011 year of events (EU)

2011 will be another exceptionally busy year for The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the 60,000-strong global trade association of the shopping center industry, which held a record number of events in 2010, where its members could participate in over 100 meetings, educational and network events across Europe.

ICSC European Managing Director, Ermine Amies, said: "ICSC now holds more events across Europe than it has ever done in its 50-year history and it's all driven by our members, who reap huge benefits from the opportunities that ICSC is able to provide."

Highlights for 2011 include ICSC Retail Connections, at The Business Design Centre, London on March 31. ICSC Retail Connections, which has grown significantly over three years, is the exclusive business meeting event dedicated to retail property leasing for shopping center owner/developers, retailers and agents.

ICSC's European Marketing Conference is being held in Istanbul, Turkey for the first time from April 6-8. This conference has grown to become the largest shopping center marketing conference in Europe over the last six years.

ICSC's flagship European Conference is being held in Paris from June 15-17, running in tandem with SIEC, the French National Council of Shopping Centers (CNCC) annual commercial real estate exhibition.

Later in the year the ICSC European Outlet Conference and European Research Seminar will be held in Milan from October 11-13 and in Copenhagen on November 4 respectively.

Throughout the year ICSC National Committees will be running their own full programs of conferences and educational training opportunities within their countries, offering those seeking to understand new markets and new countries the chance to network with local experts.
