Housing corporation Mitros and Amstelland sign agreement

Housing corporation and project developer join hands in inner city (re) development

Voluntary housing corporation Mitros in Utrecht and Amstelland Ontwikkeling BV in Nieuwegein have signed an open-ended agreement to cooperate in (re) developing the inner city locations in the so-called BRU-Middle area (Utrecht, Maarssen, De Bilt, Bunnik, Houten, Nieuwegein and IJsselstein). Per project, on each of these locations, cooperation is sought under the basis of ‘right of first refusal’.

Mitros and Amstelland will mainly invest in restructuring locations and are looking for long-term cooperation. Mitros manages 32,000 houses in Utrecht and Nieuwegein, and is the local market leader. Amstelland is the second largest housing project developer of the Netherlands and is active both in inner cities and surrounding areas. The cooperation between these two parties should lead to a positive impulse for the housing and living environment in the so-called BRU-Middle region.
