Homburg Invest Inc. creates non-statutory Advisory Board (US)

Richard Homburg, Chairman and CEO of Homburg Invest Inc. (TSX: HII.SV.A & HII.MV.B) (Homburg Invest), is pleased to announce that at a meeting held February 11, 2006 the Board of Directors unanimously approved the creation of a non-statutory Advisory Board for Homburg Invest.

The Advisory Board, when fully formed, will consist of six high profile members, three from Europe and three from North America. The purpose of the Board is to provide advice to the Board of Directors and senior management. The members will be a valuable source of both information and influence and will be an important part of Homburg Invests plans for growth in Canada, the United States and Europe.

At the same meeting, the Board of the Directors confirmed the appointments of two members of the Advisory Board, Mr. Evert Brouwers of Eindhoven, The Netherlands and Prof. Dr. Willem Vermeend of Den Haag, The Netherlands.

From 1995 to 2004, Mr. Brouwers was Executive Director and later Director General for The Netherlands Government Information Service acting as spokesman for the Prime Minister, Her Majesty the Queen and the Royal Family. Prior to this Mr. Brouwers had a long and distinguished career in journalism and business. Mr. Brouwers early career included print and television journalism followed by a period, 1978 to 1983, as Editor in Chief, Nieuwsblad van het Noorden. Mr. Brouwers also served, for twelve years, as Managing Director, Phillips Press Office the official spokesman for Phillips Electronics worldwide.

Dr. Vermeend is currently senior counsel with Boer & Croon Strategy Management Group and professor of European Fiscal Economics at University of Maastricht. In addition, Dr. Vermeend is Chairman of and member of several public company supervisory boards and a member of the Board of Trustees of University Hospital Erasmus Rotterdam. Between 1994 and 2002 he was a member of the Dutch Parliament and served as State Secretary of Finance and Minister of Labour and Social Affairs.

Mr. Homburg is also pleased to announce the appointment of Drs. J. Richard Stolle as President European Operations of Homburg Invest Inc. This appointment recognizes the companys present activities and future plans for the European market place. Drs. Stolle brings a wealth of real estate investment experience to the management group. From 1993 to 2002 he was Chief Financial Officer of Uni-Invest N.V. (Uni-Invest) and from 2002 to 2005 he was Chief Executive Officer of Uni-Invest. Uni-Invest is a real estate investment fund. Since October 2005 Drs. Stolle has been Managing Director of Stollburgh B.V., a private investment advisory firm and Director of ActiveInvestor Real Estate N.V., a private investment fund.
