HOCHTIEF Solutions sells Börsentor office building to Zurich Deutsche Herold Lebensversicherung (DE)

Life assurer Zurich Deutsche Herold Lebensversicherung acquired an office and commercial building with rental area of almost 3,900 m².

HOCHTIEF Solutions HTP Rhine-Main is currently building a seven-story office and commercial building—the Börsentor—on Börsenstrasse in Frankfurt. The property, with around 3,400 m² of office space, and roughly 450 m² of commercial space, has been acquired by life assurer Zurich Deutsche Herold Lebensversicherung. It was agreed that no details of the purchase price would be disclosed.

Börsentor, which is due for completion by summer 2014, is being built on a lot of around 940 m² in downtown Frankfurt, close to Börsenplatz. The building’s gross floor area of approximately 4,600 m² is divided into retail space on the ground floor, and six office levels. Two stairways with elevators provide access to the rental areas.

This means that each floor can be divided into up to two rental units, one with roof terrace. A roof terrace for all users is planned for the seventh floor. A three-story-high passage leading to the neighboring building will be left open, and in future it will serve as the entrance to the new pedestrian walkway to Meisengasse.

The Börsentor will exceed the primary energy saving requirements set out in the 2009 Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV2009) and is designed to meet the criteria for Silver certification from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).
