HOCHTIEF House Hamburg sold to Hesse Newman Capital (DE)

HOCHTIEF Projektentwicklung has sold HOCHTIEF House Hamburg to Hesse Newman Capital. It was agreed that no details of the purchase price would be disclosed.

A joint venture made up of HOCHTIEF Projektentwicklung, HOCHTIEF Facility Management and HOCHTIEF Construction is currently realizing the Group's first regional headquarters modeled on the 'One Roof' concept. From 2012, all Hamburg-based HOCHTIEF business units will be housed together in the complex, which has a gross above-ground floor area of 21,900 m².

Once completed, HOCHTIEF House will comprise two buildings of five and seven stories respectively, connected by a bridge, and will be located on Fuhlsbüttler Strasse, forming the southeast corner of Quartier 21 in Hamburg-Barmbek. HOCHTIEF will be using around 14,000 m² of the total 18,400 m² of rental space. A further 4,400 m² is planned on the ground floor for retail outlets. Most of this space has already been let to a grocery store and a drugstore.

In 2010 HOCHTIEF House Hamburg was awarded Silver precertification by the German Council for Sustainable Building (DGNB).
