Hines promotes Lars Huber to CFO of the European Region/MENA (EU)

Hines, the international real estate firm, has announced that Lars Huber has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer of the European Region/MENA, based in the firm's European Regional office in London.

In this capacity, he will also continue to oversee the Hines European Capital Markets Group and maintain his involvement with key Hines investor relationships, structuring commingled funds, joint ventures and raising equity capital for the firm's global initiatives. Hines' European Region/MENA includes offices in France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, United Kingdom and UAE/Saudi Arabia.

Hines CEO European Region/MENA Michael Topham commented, "Hines has been developing a strong presence in Europe and the Middle East over the past two decades, and Lars will play an important role in expanding our operations in these two important geographic areas."

Huber joined the firm in 1996 and later headed the firm's Munich office until 2004, where he contributed to the development of various mixed-use and office projects in Germany totaling more than 200,000 m². In 2005, he relocated to London as fund manager for the Hines European Value Added Fund with approximately €800 million of investment volume, before he took over the European Capital Markets Group in 2007.

Huber graduated from the European Business School in Frankfurt in 1996 and has been a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors since 1999.
