Hines develops logistics center in Hamm (DE)

Hines is developing the DistributionPark logistics centre in Hamm, North Rhine-Westphalia. The project, featuring flexible storage space as well as high-quality office and social rooms, will be developed on 71,000m². The logistics complex will meet the highest standards of efficiency and connectivity and will also be DGNB-certified, making the Hines DistributionPark one of the most sustainable logistics centres in Germany. The architectural office Kruger Consult from Burgwedel was selected as a specialist for “green facilities.” The complex will be divided into two building structures and carefully integrated into its surroundings by existing earth walls, green spaces and trees. The new logistics centre is ideally located in the booming logistics industry in the eastern Ruhr district. The location is well connected to the motorways and, via an access point in Dortmund, to the European rail network for combined freight transport.

Christian Meister, Managing Director at Hines, said: “In addition to the sustainability aspect, the flexibly divisible areas represent a major added value of the Hines DistributionPark. We can think of online retailers and industrial companies, but also contract logistics service providers as potential users. We are pleased about the great interest in the Hines logistics centre and are holding talks with potential tenants despite the current challenges caused by the Corona crisis.”
