Henderson appointed to advise on INGPI’s European real estate portfolio (EU)

Investire Immobiliare SGR and Polaris Real Estate SGR have appointed Henderson Global Investors to advise on the non-Italian remit for a European real estate mandate on behalf of the Italian Pension Fund for Journalists (INGPI), for its ca. €1.2 billion “Giovanni Amendola fund”.

It forms part of the wider fund mandate which was awarded to Investire Immobiliare SGR and Polaris Real Estate SGR by INGPI to establish the real estate fund on its behalf. Investire Immobiliare SGR and Polaris Real Estate SGR will manage all investments while Henderson will be responsible for identifying and acquiring investment opportunities and the subsequent management of those assets outside of Italy. It is likely to target investments in Germany, France, the Netherlands and UK.

The mandate is part of Henderson’s commercial agreement with Investire Immobiliare SGR for the development and distribution of property funds. The partnership’s initial focus has been identifying Italian capital to be invested directly or indirectly into international real estate.

Mario Pellò, Head of Portfolio Management in Italy, commented: “We are delighted to be a part of this prestigious mandate which is testament to our experience and expertise in identifying and sourcing the best stock throughout Europe. We look forward to leveraging off this experience in order to deliver value for INGPI as they enter the European real estate market.”
