Henderson adds strength to research team (UK)

Leading fund manager Henderson Global Investors, the independent asset manager with £67.7 billion assets under management has added strength to its research team with four major appointments.

Xaviere Roudeix has joined the team in London to advise primarily on French business space markets. She will also cover Spain, Benelux and Sweden. Xaviere was formerly an economist with BNP in Paris, focusing most recently on real estate and construction markets throughout Europe.

Stefan Wundrak has joined from Wiesbaden based Oppenheim. Also based in London, Stefan will specialize on the German, Austrian and Italian business space markets. In due course he will also add Central and Eastern European markets to his portfolio. Andrew Schofield joined at the end of June to work on the UK business space markets. He was formally a senior research manager with IPD.

Whilst based in London, given their focus on local markets they will all spend significant time in Henderson's country offices and out in the local markets.

Patrick Bushnell, Director of Property Investment said: "Given we are in the process of rapidly expanding our portfolios across Europe we have made significant appointments to our research team to ensure that we have the best available market data and local market forecasts to support investment analysis and decision making throughout our target markets."

To ensure that Henderson maintains the depth and rigour of the research and strategy process in the business, the company has also appointed Paul Mitchell as a research consultant to provide strategic advice to the team. With over 16 years in the industry Paul was previously head of strategy with Prudential Property Investment Managers and now runs Paul Mitchell Real Estate Consultancy.
