Helios Europe appoints key executive and opens new office in Düsseldorf (DE)

Logistics property investor and developer Helios Europe is continuing its expansion drive in Germany with the appointment of a key executive and the opening of a new office in Düsseldorf. André Banschus has joined as Country Manager: Germany.

Banschus has over 10 years' experience working within the European logistics sector, having held senior positions with leading firms throughout Europe including Prologis, Eurinpro (now Goodman), Goldbeck and Parkridge.

With a wealth of experience in Northern, Central and Eastern Europe, principally Germany, Sweden and the Czech Republic, André has personally overseen the development of over 1.67 million m² of logistics space across the continent.

Helios Europe is currently developing 350,000 m² of grade-A logistics and office space in three locations in Germany. The Link Logistics project, launched in February this year, has a combined project end value of over €250 million comprising Direct Link Park in Leipzig, Air Link Park in Berlin which is adjacent to the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport and Inter Link Park, Ingolstadt, close to the Audi HQ and A9 motorway in Bavaria.

Helios Europe has already secured two pre-lets at Leipzig and Ingolstadt to European logistics giants the Nagel Group and Dachser, totaling 40,300 m².

Hughes continues: "This latest appointment will be further augmented with leading executives in the coming months as the company continues to secure sustained growth in continental Europe and the UK."
