Heitman announces new head of portfolio management, Europe (EU)

Heitman LLC, a global real estate investment management firm, today announced the appointment of Scott Dwyer as Head of Portfolio Management for the firm's European private equity operations effective September 1, 2012.

Dwyer will be based in the firm's Warsaw office and will report to European Co-Heads Gordon Black and Rob Reiskin.

With almost 25 years of real estate market experience, Dwyer was most recently employed with ING Real Estate Development International where he served from 2009 as General Manager responsible for asset management and disposals across Europe and had geographic responsibility for Germany, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Switzerland.

From 2005 to 2009, Dwyer served as Managing Director, Central Europe for French real estate investment manager, Unibail-Rodamco and from 2002 to 2005 as Country Manager, Poland, for Rodamco Europe. Earlier, Dwyer worked in Poland with TrilDM Development Sp. Z.o.o. as Partner/Finance, with Greater Union International GmbH in Germany as European Director, and Media Matrix Pty Ltd as Principal. He began his real estate career with John Fairfax Holdings Ltd in Australia in 1982.

Dwyer received his Bachelor of Business from University of Technology, Sydney, his accreditation to CPA in 1991 and studied business at Macquarie Graduate School of Management. An Australian national, Mr. Dwyer resides in Warsaw, Poland with his family.
