Hansteen lets 50,000 ft² to Vernon Park, Wolverhampton (UK)

Mann + Hummel, the filtration system and components specialist, has expanded its Wolverhampton operation by leasing 50,000 ft² (approx. 4,645 m²) at Hansteen Holding's Vernon Park.

Situated adjacent to Junction 1 of the M54 and across the road from its current operation, Mann+Hummel has taken a 15-year lease at Unit C, the last remaining speculatively built unit on the scheme.

Industrial specialist Hansteen bought Vernon Park in 2010 as part of the Kilmartin portfolio. Since acquisition it has succeeded in leasing all three speculatively built units to JBanks, Jospeh Joseph and now Mann + Hummel. Alongside these existing units is a five acre development site with detailed planning consent for a high specification, industrial unit up to 120,000 ft² (approx. 11,148 m²).

Adam Smith, Asset Manager at Hansteen commented: 'We welcome Mann + Hummel to Vernon Park and are pleased that the scheme has succeeded in attracting established occupiers to what is an established location. With such close proximity to i54 and the Jaguar Land Rover Engine Facility at Junction 2 of the M54, Mann+Hummel are well placed to take advantage of future supply chain requirements.

'We are now turning our attention to the remaining 5 acre development site where we have achieved detailed planning consent for a further 120,000 ft² of industrial B2/B8 accommodation. We anticipate demand will stem from supply chain requirements for Jaguar Land Rover at i54 and we will work to deliver a successful design & build unit to suit.'
