Hans-Peter Eger becomes new CEO of Gebhard Real Estate (DE)

The supervisory board of Gebhard Real Estate AG, a Berlin-based company, unanimously appointed Hans-Peter Eger (56) to serve as new chairman of the management board. He will head the company together with Bernhard Groth, and intensify efforts to expand the market position of this specialist for capital investment products in the real estate sector.

A trained banker, Eger looks back on more than 30 years of experience in the areas of real estate financing, real estate management, and real estate sales. Following positions as departmental director for real estate financing and risk management in state banks, Eger was commissioned by a Berlin-based bank in 1995 to form a subsidiary for the purpose of setting up a proprietary real estate portfolio. Eger headed this property-holding company between 1997 and 2001 as its managing director, laying the foundation for a real estate portfolio of 40,000 housing units to date. In 1998, he formed and headed a bank-owned sales organisation that today counts a staff of more than 100 professionals.
