Haarlemmermeer may be considered as the working city of the future. Per capita 14.5 m2 of office, retail or industrial space is being developed here. Way back in second place came Amersfoort (4.4), Maastricht (4.4.) and Arnhem (3.9). Amsterdam is only in fifth spot (3.6).
These are amongst the results from a study by PropertyNl reviewing developing potential of commercial real estate in the various cities.
In order to have understand which cities are doing their best top realize working locations, development potential was set off against number of inhabitants.
Other major cities in the top twenty include Groningen (2.4), The Hague (2.1) and Rotterdam (1.7).
