GWM Group acquires Da Vinci Market Central for €130 million (IT)

Funds managed by the GWM Group have completed the acquisition of MCF S.r.l.,  the owner of the retail park Da Vinci Market Central from AIG/Lincoln.


Located in the Rome airport area, Da Vinci is the largest retail park in Italy with over 56,000 m² of lettable area and in excess of 10 million visitors per year. The transaction has a value in of €130 million and has been partially funded through the recourse to bank debt arranged by Natixis and ING.


The acquisition falls in GWM's strategy to acquire prime and well performing assets in Italy and across Europe and capitalize on the scarcity of investment capital available in the real estate sector.


Commenting on the deal, Marco Salvini, CEO of AIG/Lincoln Italia, said: “The quality of the Market Central Da Vinci retail park in terms of development design, location, tenant line-up and sustainable performance, allowed the purchaser to secure financing and complete a complex deal in a challenging marketplace.”
