Gruppo Basso presents the first factory outlet of the Veneto region in Treviso (IT)

Top quality shopping at lower prices at the Roncade Outlet Mall to be inaugurated in 2008 by Lefim spa, subsidiary of Gruppo Basso, one of Italy's leading retail, industrial, office, logistics and hospitality real estate promoters and developers.

The first factory outlet in the Veneto Region will be built in Roncade, in the province of Treviso, by Lefim S.p.A. with an indoor area of about 95,000 m², including a hotel by BHR - another subsidiary of Gruppo Basso.

The project will be designed and developed by the Chapman Taylor architectural studio of London - with a branch office in Milan – who will bring to life a concept in retail structures in tune with its surroundings. Many of the spaces planned will reflect respect for the environment by providing parks and playgrounds, as well as adequate parking to guarantee a rational and harmonious layout.

The outlet mall offers a great opportunity for the whole surrounding area: opportunities for consumers and visitors to mix shopping "needs" with the pleasures of quality tourism, by visiting the nearby beaches in Jesolo, the Venetian coastline or the rich cultural offerings of Venice and Treviso.

The project will see the development of about 80 retail stores dealing with merchandise for personal use (clothing, leathergoods, perfumes and hygiene products, footwear, fashion accessories) and housewares. The foodcourt will offer local specialities, set in a particularly comfortable environment, replete with plentiful services.

The catchment area is estimated at 1,100,000 people within a 30-minute-drive radius, expanding to 3,200,000 within 60 minutes, to 6,300,000 people 90 minutes away. Basso cav. Angelo spa, construction company founded in 1930, and the historic heart of Gruppo Basso, will carry out all structural buliding and finishing work. Pantheon Retail, Europe's leading indipendent asset manager in the factory outlet sector, will carry out the retail management and development.
