Gordon to head L&G’s £4bn life fund

The former Managing Director of Railtrack Property Developments, Helen Gordon, is to head Legal & General’s £4bn life fund property portfolio, it was reported today. She will replace Stephen Mundy, who resigned in August, and will start her job on 15 December. She will report to L&G Property Managing Director, Mark Creedy, in addition to taking up a position on the board.

The portfolio includes several major developments throughout the UK, including the £500m regeneration of Bracknell town centre and the redevelopment of L&G’s Bucklersbury House in the City.

The fund also includes four development opportunities in London â€" the aforementioned Bucklersbury House, plus redevelopments at Oxford Street, St Giles Circus and Fortress House on Savile Row.

Before Gordon worked at Railtrack, she spent six years at Milton Keynes Development Corporation, and 10 years with John Laing, where she became Managing Director of John Laing Property Ventures and John Laing Developments.
