Goodman to develop approx. 26,000 m² warehouse in Sosnowiec for ILS, a subsidiary of Inter Cars Group (PL)

Goodman will develop a 25,844 m² warehouse in Sosnowiec for logistics company ILS, a subsidiary of Inter Cars SA the largest automotive spare parts distributor in Central and Eastern Europe. The development has been pre-leased on a ten-year fixed term agreement.

The new facility will be tailored to ILS’ specific requirements and used for the warehousing and distribution of automotive spare parts for Inter Cars. It will comprise a 24,844 m² warehouse and 1,000 m² of office area.

Located in Maczki Bór, 10 km from Sosnowiec, the new facility is in close proximity to well-developed transport infrastructure, with easy access to the S1 expressway and the A4 motorway.

“We are very pleased to have been selected by ILS to undertake this development, which also represents Goodman’s first investment in Upper Silesia. Significantly, we are well positioned to meet the growing logistics demand from customers in the region, with the Sosnowiec site enabling over 37,000 m² of additional warehouse space to be built, bringing the total development at this location to 66,500 m²,” said Błażej Ciesielczak, Regional Director, Goodman Poland.

“Goodman also controls another site in the region, at Gliwice, which is capable of providing up to 50,000 m² of quality logistics space when fully developed. We plan to commence construction of the first warehouse at the site later this year,” adds Błażej Ciesielczak.

“We chose Goodman to develop our new warehouse and distribution center, as we are confident that they will meet all of our expectations and deliver a modern and efficient facility that is tailored to our needs. Our new facility at this strategic location in Sosnowiec will play a key role in facilitating the ongoing development of our logistics operations in the region,” said Wojciech Aleksandrowicz, CEO of ILS.

The warehouse for ILS will be fully equipped with LED lightening, the first time that Goodman will use LED technology in a development in Poland, and therefore setting new standards in the energy efficiency of logistics properties.

The leasing transaction was conducted by Colliers International.
