Goodman Group, a global leading owner, developer and manager of industrial real estate, has signed a new lease agreement with a leading international logistics service provider for a 6,153m² logistics facility at Goodman Senec Logistics Centre in Slovakia. Goodman adapted the space to meet the customer’s operational needs, who is the first customer to lease space in the new 12,680m² grade-A warehouse developed at this growing logistics centre near Bratislava.

The warehouse space being leased is divided into two separate warehousing units and will be used as a multi-customer facility by the logistics service provider. The first unit is a 4,250m² cross dock warehouse dedicated to handling air cargo mainly for automotive parts. The second unit is a 1,415m² pharma warehouse equipped with temperature and humidtity controlled areas to store pharmaceuticals between 2°C and 25°C. Both warehouses will have dedicated office space totalling 488m².

“We decided to develop our first fully speculative building in Slovakia in order to meet the market demand for modern warehousing in the Bratislava region. By correctly anticipating market trends, we were able to quickly respond to the warehousing needs of our customer and provide them with a property solution that met their specific business and operational requirements,” commented Jan Palek, Goodman Country Manager Czech Republic and Slovakia.

CBRE advised on the transaction. “Goodman Senec Logistics Centre is located in a prime business cluster, where about 80% of the Slovak logistics market is concentrated. Close proximity to Bratislava and to the borders with Austria, the Czech Republic and Hungary makes it one of the best locations for logistics in the CEE region. The location, combined with Goodman’s high quality properties, their professionalism, flexibility and first class developer services, will continue to drive the success of the logistics centre,” said Martin Vara?ka, Associate Director at CBRE.
