Goodman granted planning consent for major new Grade-A logistics building (UK)

The prime 415,000 ft² (approx. 38,554 m²) facility fronting the A38, to be named Centrum 415, will be located within the established Centrum 100 Business Park, an attractive working environment providing a variety of commercial property including industrial, warehouse, offices and retail.

The site is well placed to attract customers seeking large scale, high quality logistics space, and is situated within close reach of major East Midlands transport links. The site is also well served by an extensive local labor force.

Goodman is now marketing the new logistics property and will develop it on a pre-let basis to bespoke customer requirements.

Charles Crossland, Managing Director, Goodman UK Logistics said: “Following a very successful pre-let agreement with Palletforce on the adjacent site, Goodman is now preparing to develop a new industrial and distribution facility at Centrum Logistics Park. Our recent letting to Hobbycraft at our First-Point, Burton building (211,000 ft²) demonstrates the continued demand for high quality logistics space in the East Midlands market.”

Goodman has invested £105 million (approx. €120.5 million) into its 800 acre UK land bank to ensure that outline planning and infrastructure are in place and the sites are ready for construction. This unique offering dramatically reduces the time it takes to build fully operational logistics centers, a key concern for logistics customers. Goodman has 14 strategically located sites across the UK market capable of delivering over 14 million ft² (approx. 1.3 million m²) of logistics space. Four of Goodman’s UK sites can deliver facilities of over one million ft² and eight are capable of delivering over 500,000 ft² (approx. 46,500 m²) of logistics space.

CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield and North Rae Sanders are agents on the scheme.
